作者简介

J.G.Frazer(1854-1941)wasbornandeducatedinGlasgowwhereheattendedUniversitybeforegoingtoTrinityCollegeCambridge.In1871hebecameaClassicsFellowatTrinity.Hewasknightedin1914.HetranslatedworkfromtheGreek,andwrotefictionbutheisbestknownasapioneerofsocialanthropologyandcomparativeethnography.Althoughhehasmanyothertitlestohisname,noneweretohavethewide-rangingsocialandimaginativeimpactofTheGoldenBough.
