LincangisoneoftheleastdevelopedregionsinYunnanProvince，with97.5%ofthe24，000squarekilometersbeingmoun-tainouslandareawithapopulationofmorethan2.6million.Lincangischaracterizedbyitsbiodiversity，three-dimensionalclimate，highmountainsanddeepvalleys，crisscrossingrivers，inconvenienttranspor-tation，mixedethnicgroupsandlowqualityofworkers.Insuchethnicpoverty-strickenareas，itisdifficultforallthepeopletogetridofpovertyandbecomerichcontinuously.Basedonitsregionalcharacteristics，Lincangselectsindustriesaccordingtolocalconditions，continuouslyoptimizesindustriallayout，andpersistentlyemphasizestheindustrialdevelopment.Sincethe1960s，thesugarcaneindustryhasbeenlaidout.Innearly30years，600，000sugarcanefarmershavebeensteadilyliftedoutofpoverty.Since1990，theteaindustryhasbeenoptimallylaidoutathigh，middleandlowaltitudes，benefiting1.4millionagriculturalpopulation.In2005，Lincangwasengagedinthelarge-scaledevelopmentofwalnutindustry，involvingapopulationof1million，and320，000farmersinhigh-altitudemountainousareaswereliftedoutofpoverty.Lincangnutswerepromotedandplantedasecologicalrestorationtreesin2002，whichthenbegantobecomprehensivelyadvancedin2012，drivingmorethan60，000filedpoverty-strickenhouseholdstotaling240，000peopleoutofpoverty.By2020，alltheimpoverishedpeopleinLincangwillbeliftedoutofpovertyasexpected，andtheywillhaveembarkedonaroadofsustained，stableandlong-termpovertyalleviationrelyingonindustrialdevelopment.TheoptimizedlayoutandcoordinateddevelopmentofindustriesinLincangmakesitsecologicalenvironmentcontinuouslyrestored，theincomeofthelocalpeoplecontinuouslyincreased，andthecomprehensiveskillsoffarmerscontinuouslyimproved.TakingthedevelopmentofLincangnutindustryasanexample，thisstudy，throughfieldinvestigation，collectsalargenumberofrealcases，andcombineswithrelevantdataofindustrialdevelopmenttofullydisplaythewholeprocessofindustryselection，trialplantingpromotion，planningandlayout，demonstrationandguidance，enterpriseguidanceandscientificandtechnologicalsupportofLincangnuts.ThesuccessfulexperienceofLincang\'sindustrialdevelopmenttellsusthatweshouldchooseindustriesaccordingtolocalconditions，grasptheoverallplanningofindustries，guidethemassestodevelopindustries，organizeandcooperatetoexpandindustries，andstrengthenindustriesrelyingonscienceandtechnology.Lucidwatersandlushmountainsareinvaluableassets，whichisundoubtedlyLincang\'ssuccessfulexperienceinthefinalanalysis.
