Corporateresponsibilityhasgoneglobal.Ithassecuredtheattentionofbusinessleaders,governmentsandNGOstoanunprecedentedextent.Increasingly,itisarguedthatbusinessmustplayaconstructiveroleinaddressingmassiveglobalchallenges.Businessisnotresponsibleforcausingmostoftheproblemsassociatedwith,forexample,extremepovertyandhunger,childmortalityandHIV/AIDS.However,itisoftenclaimedthatbusinesshasaresponsibilitytohelpamelioratemanyoftheseproblemsand,indeed,itmaybetheonlyinstitutioncapableofeffectivelyaddressingsomeofthem.GlobalChallengesinResponsibleBusinessaddressestheimplicationsforbusinessofcorporateresponsibilityinthecontextofglobalizationandthesocialandenvironmentalproblemswefacetoday.FeaturingresearchfromEurope,NorthAmerica,AsiaandAfrica,itfocusesonthreemajorthemes:embeddingcorporateresponsibility,corporateresponsibilityandmarketing,andcorporateresponsibilityindevelopingcountries.
