Thetrilateralcooperation，aninnovativemodelofdevelopmentcooperationservesasabridgeforNorth-SouthCooperationandSouth-SouthCooperation.ThetrilateralcooperationwasinitiallyraisedbyEuropeandonorcountriesafter2006ForumonChina-AfricaCooperation（FOCAC）Beijingsummit，withtheintentiontointegrateChinaintotheWest-dominatedinternationalcooperationsystem.Chinahasbeencompelledtoreactpassivelytotheserequests.Withthechanginginternationalsituation，especiallyafter2014，thepolicyspaceforChinatopursuetrilateralcooperationhasbeenchangeddramatically.China\'sattitudetowardstrilateralcooperationhasbeentransformedfrompassiveresponsetopositiveaction.AnexampleisthatChinahastakenitsowninitiativetoproposethethird-partymarketcooperation.WithChina\'sgrowingself-confidenceattheinternationalstage，thetrilateralcooperationamongChina，EuropeandAfricaisfacingnewopportunities.Thetrilateralcooperation，whichhasexperiencedupsanddownsatgovernmentandpolicylevel，nowcomesagaintothelistofpolicymakers.Facingthecounter-globalizationtrendandglobaluncertaintiesmainlycausedbytheU.S.，thetrilateralcooperationamongChina，EuropeandAfricahasasignificantroleinbalancingtheChina-U.S.relationshipandEurope-U.S.relationship.
