Oceaniaisrichinnaturalandmineralresources，andpossessesadequatefoundationsforregionalintegration.Oceaniancountriesattachimportancetothedevelopmentofcleanenergyandelectricityinfrastructure.Oceanianislandcountries'uniquegeographicallocationsandenvironmentallycomplexityandfragilityimplythattheyareamongtheregionsmostvulnerabletoclimatechangeworldwide.CountriesinOceaniaconcernabouttheclimatechangeandhasstimulatedtheiractiveinvolvementinglobalclimategovernance.AchievementofsustainabledevelopmentinOceaniawillrequireadherencetogreen，low-carbonprinciplesofdevelopment，coordinationoftheeconomic，socialandenvironmentaldevelopmentgoalsanddemandsofOceaniancountries，promotionofdiversified，integratedeconomicdevelopmentbasedonabundantcleanenergyresources，fullimplementationofthetemperaturecontrolmeasuressetoutintheParisAgreement，andachievementofcomprehensiveandcoordinatedadvancesineconomicdevelopment，socialprogressandecologicalprotection.ThekeyofpromotingsustainabledevelopmentinOceanialiesonitscleanenergyresourceofsolarandwindenergy，acceleratinglow-carbontransition，strengtheningitsenergyinterconnectioninfrastructureandconstructionofOceanianEnergyInterconnection.Oceaniamustpromotecleanenergydevelopmentinacomplementaryandcoordinatedway，andguaranteethecleanandsustainableenergysupplybycleandevelopment.Enhancementofcross-borderandcross-regionalpowerinterconnectioninfrastructureandlargescaledevelopment，optimalallocationandefficientutilizationofcleanenergyremainpressingsneed.PromotionoftheindustrializationofPapuaNewGuineaandotherPacificIslandcountries，togetherwiththere-industrializationofAustralia，willalsobenecessarytoachieveco-developmentof"Electricity，Mining，Metallurgy，ManufacturingandTrade"（Co-developmentModel），andtoimproveeconomicdiversification.ImplementationoftheOceanianEnergyInterconnection，willprovidestrongsupportforOceania'ssustainabledevelopment.
