MrGumpyhasdecidedtogoforarideinhismotorcar.It'sanicedayandthesunisshining,sooffhegoes.Butheonlygetsasfarasthelanebeforethechildren,therabbit,thecat,thedog,thepig,thesheep,thechickens,thecalfandthegoataskiftheycancomealongtoo.Asthemotorcaranditspassengersmaketheirwayacrossthefield,theweatherbeginstoturnandtherainissoonpouringdown.Thetyrescannotgripthemuddyground,soMrGumpyasksforvolunteerstopushthecar.Buteveryonehasanexcuse,untilitgetssobadthattheyallhavetogetoutandhelp.Eventually,thesunshinesoncemoreastheydriveacrossthebridge-andthere'stimeforaswimonthewayhome.
