¡¡¡¡Cross-seapowertransmissionhasbeenanimportantmethodforoffshorewindpowerdevelopmentandcross-seainterconnection.Morethan7000kmofcross-seatransmissionprojectshavebeenbuiltuparoundtheworldatpresent£¬mainlyinEurope£¬MiddleEastandSoutheastAsia£¬AmongwhichEuropehasthealmost95%oftheglobalmarket.Meanwhile£¬therearemanyislandandpeninsulacountriesinAsia£¬havingagreatpotentialofoffshorepowerandeconomydevelopment£¬whichwillmakethedemandofcross-seatransmissionincreaserapidly.¡¡¡¡Comparedwiththatofpowertransmissiononland£¬thetotalcapacityofcross-seatransmissionislessthan1%.Whilecomparedwiththatofsubmarinecommunicationcableandpetroleumpipelines£¬thetotallengthislessthan1%and10%respectively.Consideringrapidincreasingdemandofcleanenergyatseaandregionalcross-seainterconnection£¬itisbelievedthattheglobalcross-seapowertransmissionwillhaveagreatmarketpotentialinthefuture£¬whichmeanshighertechnicalandeconomicrequirementsarenecessaryforsubmarinecable.
