VirginiaWoolf(January1882–28March1941)wasanEnglishwriter,andoneoftheforemostmodernistsofthetwentiethcentury.Duringtheinterwarperiod,WoolfwasasignificantfigureinLondonliterarysocietyandacentralfigureintheinfluentialBloomsburyGroupofintellectuals.HermostfamousworksincludethenovelsMrsDalloway(1925),TotheLighthouse(1927)andOrlando(1928),andthebook-lengthessayARoomofOne'sOwn(1929),withitsfamousdictum,"Awomanmusthavemoneyandaroomofherownifsheistowritefiction."弗吉尼亚·伍尔夫(或译弗吉尼亚·伍尔芙)。英国女作家,被誉为二十世纪现代主义与女性主义的先锋。两次世界大战期间,她是伦敦文学界的核心人物,同时也是布卢姆茨伯里派(BloomsburyGroup)的成员之一。最知名的小说包括《戴洛维夫人》(Mrs.Dalloway)、《到灯塔去》(TotheLighthouse)、《雅各的房间》(Jakob'sRoom)。
