作者简介

薇依（SimoneWeil）1909的年生于法国巴黎一个文化教养很高的富裕的中产阶级家庭。1926年到1931年，薇依进入巴黎高师从事哲学学习、研究。1931年到1934年，薇依先后在外省的几所中学任哲学教师。为对世上的苦难有切实的体验，1935年她到阿尔斯通、雷诺等工厂像真正的工人那样从事重体力劳动。从1940年到1943年，这是薇依著述最多也最为重要的几年。薇依对以往的劳动、战斗、政治参与、社会活动的经历进行理论总结。在马赛、纽约，最后到伦敦，她写了一本又一本的笔记，内容涉及哲学、宗教、历史、政治……直至1943年因饥饿、重病死于伦敦郊区的修道院……
