EldrydParryhasunrivalledexperienceofmedicineinAfrica,havingworkedinGhana,EthiopiaandNigeria,wherehewasbothProfessorandDeanofMedicine.HeisnowVisitingProfessorandHonoraryFellowattheLondonSchoolofHygieneandTropicalMedicine,andChairmanoftheTropicalHealthEducationTrust.HewasawardedtheOBEforservicestomedicaleducation.RichardGodfreywasfrom1990to1993ProfessorofMedicineatMoiUniversityinKenya,andhashadoverseasconsultanciesinKenyaandZambia.Until2002hewasConsultantPhysicianandHonorarySeniorLectureratSouthamptonUniversityHospitals,andatpresentworkswithMedicalEmergencyReliefInternationalinprogrammesconcernedwithtuberculosisinsub-SaharanAfrica.DavidMabeypreviouslyworkedasaclinicianattheMedicalResearchCouncilLaboratories,Gambiafrom1978-1986,inchargeofclinicalservicesfrom1982-6.HeisanHon.ConsultantPhysician,HospitalforTropicalDiseases,Londonsince1986andhaspublishedapproximately150papersinpeer-reviewedjournals,mostlyonHIV,othersexuallytransmittedinfections,andtrachoma.GeoffreyGillhasworkedextensivelyinAfricaandpublishedwidelyonchronicdiseasecareinthetropics.HeisReaderinthedepartmentsofMedicineandTropicalMedicineattheUniversityofLiverpool.
