JamesM.Ward(bornMay23,1951),isanAmericangamedesignerandfantasyauthor.HeismostfamousforhisgamedevelopmentandwritingworkforTSR,Inc.,whereheworkedformorethan20years.In1989hewasinductedintotheAcademyofAdventureGamingArts&DesignHallofFame.From2000-2005,hewasPresidentofFastForwardEntertainment,anindependentgamedevelopmentcompany.TheDungeons&DragonscharacterDrawmijwasnamedafterhim;"Drawmij"issimply"JimWard"spelledbackwards.WardcanbeglimpsedearlyintheDragonStriketutorialvideoplayingthemanwhoisslappedinthefaceattheking'sparty.Ward,withDavidCook,SteveWinter,andMikeBreault,co-wrotetheadventurescenariothatwasadaptedintothegamePoolofRadiance.In2010,WardwasdiagnosedwithaseriousneurologicaldisorderthatrequiredtreatmentattheMayoClinic.HisfriendTimKaskhashelpedtoestablishafundtohelpWardoffsetsomeofthesemedicalbills.
