ThisbookhasitsorigininalongseriesoflecturesgivenattheInstituteforTheoreticalPhysics,WarsawUniversity.Itisaddressedtograduatestudentsandtoyoungresearchworkersintheoreticalphysicswhohavesomeknowledgeofquantumfieldtheoryinitscanonicalformulation,forinstanceattheleveloftwovolumesbyBjorken&Drell(1964,1965).Thebookisintendedtobearelativelyconcisereferencetosomeofthefieldtheoreticaltoolsusedincontemporaryresearchinthetheoryoffundamentalinteractions.Itisatechnicalbookandnoteasyreading.Physicalproblemsarediscussedonlyasillustrationsofcertaintheoreticalideasandofcomputationalmethods.Noattempthasbeenmadetoreviewsystematicallythepresentstatusofthetheoryoffundamentalinteractions.
