"VitaminPh"providesathirddoseofvisualstimulationandvitalinformation,followingonfromthesuccessesofVitaminPandVitaminD.Similarinconcept,scopeandstructure,"VitaminPh"presents,inAtoZorder,theworkof121internationalartists.Thisup-to-the-minutesurveyfocusesonglobaldevelopmentsinartphotographyandtheuseofthemediumbycontemporaryartists.78nominatorsworldwidehaveidentifiedlivingartistswhohavemadeafreshandinnovativecontributiontorecentinternationalphotography.Theseselectionswillbeaccompaniedbya5000wordintroductorytextbyTJDemos,aimingtoexploreideasrelevanttocontemporaryphotographywithreferencetotheworksincludedinthebook.Inaddition,theworkofeachphotographer/artistisintroducedbyashortcommissionedtextofapproximately500words.Allworksreproducedinthebookusephotographyastheirprimarymediumorsourcematerial,whetherornottheythendevelopintoormergewithothermedia.Extendingbeyondtheparametersofstraightphotographytoencompasssculptural,painterlyandfilmicelements,"VitaminPh"exploresthemediuminanexpandedsense.Theartistsrepresentedhaveemerged,orre-emerged,inthelastfiveyearstocreateadistinctivebodyofnewwork."VitaminPh"aimstocontributetointernationaldebatesoncontemporaryphotographywhilstprovidinganaccessibleoverviewandconcisereferencebook.
