吉田三一郎,SanichiroYoshidareceivedhisundergraduateandgraduateeducationsinthefieldofElectricalEngineeringandAppliedPhysicsfromKeioUniversity,Japan.Duringthisperiod,hehadtheopportunitytoworkasastudentresearcherattheUniversityofColoradoBoulder.UnderthesupervisionofDr.AuthorV.Phelps,heconductedresearchingaseouselectronics.Fromthisexperience,helearnedbasicsofscientificresearch.AfterreceivingaPhDin1986fromKeioUniversity,hehasconductedexperimentalandtheoreticalresearchonvarioustopics,includingdevelopmentsandapplicationsoflasers,opticalinterferometry,opticalandacousticalcharacterizationofmaterialstrength,anddeformationandfractureofsolids.Hisrecentresearchinterestisfocusedondevelopmentofawavetheoryofdeformationandfractureofsolids.Currently,heisaProfessorofPhysicsatSoutheasternLouisianaUniversitywhereheenjoysresearchwithstudents.Whennotdoingscience,hewillbefoundontheJudomatsortenniscourtsoncampus.
