ProfessorDr.NorbertAunerstudiedchemistryattheTechnicalUniversityinDarmstadt,wherehereceivedhisPh.D.AfterfinishinghishabilitationinMünsterhemovedtotheTechnicalUniversityofMunichwhereheworkedasAssistantProfessor.In1993hewasappointedFullProfessorattheHumboldt-UniversityinBerlinandsince1997heisworkingattheGoethe-UniversityinFrankfurt.Hisresearchinterestsmainlyfocusonsyntheticmethodsinorganometallicandinorganicchemistry.JohannWeisisSeniorVicePresidentCorporateR&DofWackerChemieGmbH,Munich,andaMemberoftheFacultyofChemistryandPharmacyofJulius-Maximilians-University,Würzburg,whereheholdsalectureshipforIndustrialInorganicChemistry.HewasborninMurnauanddidallhisstudiesatLudwig-Maximilians-University,Munich,includinghisthesisunderthesupervisionofWolfgangBeck.AfterhisstudieshejoinedwithWackerChemieGmbHin1972andworkedintheDivisionSiliconesfor30years.
