RajinderM.GuptastudiedpsychologyattheuniversitiesofCambridgeandManchester.HedidhisprofessionaltrainingasaneducationalpsychologistatExeterUniversityandPhDatAston.Followinghistraining,heworkedasaneducationalpsychologistfornearlytwodecades.Inthelast15years,hehasworkedasaChildandAdolescentPsychologistintheclinicalpsychologydepartmentsofseveralNHStrustsintheMidlandsandhasalsohelpedtrainanumberofclinicalpsychologytraineesstudyingfortheirdoctorateprogrammeatBirminghamUniversity.Hiscurrentmainareaofinterest,bothfromaclinicalandacademicstandpoint,isthestudyoffamilieswithinteractionaldifficultieswiththeirchildrenandeffectiveandefficientwaysofhelpingthem.FrederikaC.TheusisalicensedclinicalpsychologistandcoordinatoroftheChildandAdolescentDiagnosticandFamilySupportProgramfortheFamilyClinic,InstituteonDisabilityandHumanDevelopmentattheUniversityofIllinoisatChicago.Sheprovidesevaluationsforchildrenwithsuspectedorpreviouslydiagnoseddevelopmentaldisabilitiesaspartofamultidisciplinaryteam.DrTheusalsoprovidestherapyandinterventionservicestochildren,adolescents,andadultswithdevelopmentaldisabilities,includingautismandAspergerSyndrome.DrTheusreceivedaMasterofArtsdegreeinLearningDisabilitiesfromNorthwesternUniversity,andworkedasbothadiagnosticianandasaLearningDisabilitiesteacher.SheearnedherdoctorateinpsychologyfromtheIllinoisSchoolofProfessionalPsychology.DrTheusprovidesworkshopsandtrainingstoparentsandprofessionalsonavarietyoftopicsrelatedtoassessmentandinterventionforindividualswithdevelopmentaldisabilities,includingdualdiagnosisofdevelopmentaldisabilitiesandmentalhealthdisorders,behaviouralintervention,andAspergerSyndrome.Shehaspublishedontopicsrelatedtochilddevelopment.DrTheusisamemberoftheprofessionaladvisorycommitteefortheAutismSocietyofIllinoisandtheadvisorycounciloftheChicagoSouthsideAutismSupportGroup.
