作者简介

Novelist,shortstorywriterandpoet,JoyceisoneofthebestknownandmostinnovativeofIrishwriters.Hewasbornin1882inDublinandeducatedatUniversityCollege,Dublin.Hisfirstpublishedworkwasavolumeofverse,ChamberMusic(1907).ThiswasfollowedbyDubliners(1914)andAPortraitoftheArtistasaYoungMan(1915).Hismasterpiece,Ulysses,wasfirstpublishedinParisin1922andwashailedasaworkofgeniusbywriterssuchasEliotandHemingway.
