HannahHurnardsufferedfrommanyfearsandphobias.Sheevendevelopedastutteringproblemthatgotworsewhenshehadtospeakinfrontofstrangers.Bythetimeshewas19,Hannahwasdeeplydepressed.Sheevenconsideredsuicide,butherfearspreventedher.GodreceivedthesacrificeofHannah’sspeechproblemanduseditforHisglory.Hetookawayherstuttering,sothatshewasabletosharethegospelwithothersclearly.TheBiblebecameatreasureandadelighteventhoughshecontinuedtowrestlewithaspiritoffear.Overtime,however,HannahfounddeliveranceasshecontinuedtofollowtheLordinobedience.Later,shewastowritethebestsellingHinds'FeetonHighPlacesasaresultofherexperienceswiththeLord.ShewenttoIsraelasamissionarytotheJewsin1932,andlivedtherethroughthewarforindependencein1948.InIsrael,sheservedasahousekeeperinahospital—akindofworkshehaddetestedbeforehersurrender,butnowloved.
