KatharineHolabirdgrewupinChicago,USA,wheresheremembersdancingaroundthehousewithherthreesisters,justlikeAngelina.ShewenttoBenningtonCollegeinVermontandthenspentthreeyearsasajournalistinItaly,beforemovingtoEngland.ShewroteherfirstAngelinabook,AngelinaBallerina,in1982.Katharinehasthreegrown-upchildrenandlivesinLondonwithherhusband.HelenCraigwasborninLondon,butgrewupinthecountry.Shebecameanapprenticephotographeragedsixteenandwentontosetupherownstudio,aswellasworkingasafreelancepotterandsculptor.Helenhasillustratedoversixtychildren'sbooksandhermagicalillustrationsfortheAngelinaBallerinaseriesarefamousaroundtheworld.Helenhasagrown-upson,andlivesinCambridge.
