作者简介

WangGuixiang,professoranddoctoraladvisoroftheSchoolofArchitecture,TsinghuaUniversity,isanacademicleaderinthefieldofarchitecturaltheoryandhistory.Hehasbeenallalongengagedintheresearchandteachingofhistoryandtheoryofarclutecture.In1981,hegainedamaster'sdegreeandin1996aPhD;hesuccessivelystudiedasavisitingscholarinEdinburghUniversityoftheUnitedKingdom,UniversityofPennsylvaniaandGettyCenteroftheUnitedStates.Atpresent,heisDirectorofArchitecturalHistoryandHeritagePreservationInstitute,SchoolofArchitecture,TsinghuaUniversity,Member-oftheAcademicDegreeCommitteeofTsinghuaUniversityandChairmanoftheAcademicDegreeSub-CommitteeofSchoolofArchitecture,TsinghuaUniversity.Concurrently,heisanexpertonNationalPublishingFundPanel,Vice-ChairmanofAncientGardenSub-SocietyofChinaHeritageSociety,andVice-ChairmanofForbiddenCitySociety.
