DrHazelRoddamisanexperiencedspeechandlanguagetherapist,havingworkedinthefieldofpaediatricspecialneedsandAACintheUKforover25years.HerPhDinvestigatedthefactorsthatinfluencetheuseofresearchinspeechandlanguagetherapy.Since2006HazelhasworkedatTheUniversityofCentralLancashireinthenorth–westofEngland,whereshesupervisesresearchstudentsacrossthealliedhealthprofessions.Herresearchinterestscontinuetofocusonprofessionalissuesincludingpromotingevidence–basedpractice,evaluatingtheimpactofnewroles,newwaysofworkingandskillmixintherapyteams.DrJemmaSkeatisaspeechpathologistandresearcher.Herclinicalbackgroundisinassessment,diagnosisandearlyinterventionforchildrenwithspeechandlanguagedisorders,includingchildrenwithmultipleandcomplexneeds.HerPhDexploredissuesaroundtheimplementationanduseofoutcomemeasuresbyclinicalspeechpathologists,andhercurrentresearchinterestsincludeevidence–basedpracticeandoutcomemeasurementinpaediatricclinicalservices,andtheuseofservicesbyfamiliesofchildrenwithspeechandlanguageneeds.ShecurrentlyholdsanAustralianNationalHealthandMedicalResearchCouncilPostdoctoralFellowshipattheMurdochChildren′sResearchInstituteinMelbourne,Australia.
